Chasing Maballs

I was sitting in the Exodar
Just the other night
When a strange and wondrous creature
Ran past my line of sight

Maballs went flying by
And itching for some fun
Mals hopped into his ghost wolf
And that-a-way, he run

I followed up the ramp
And I looked all around
But Maballs and Mals had vanished
They were nowhere to be found

"Hey Mals, what're you up to?"
I screamed out to the place
"I'm Chasing Maballs"
A grin upon his face

I hesitated for a moment
But this I had to see
So I ran over to the mailbox
In a state of quandary

And there he sat, my friend
Just staring happily
At a furry lump of meat
With mail, presumably

If you haven't realized yet
Maballs is just a toon
He's a level 30 Shaman
I hope you'll meet him soon

(Yes, I want everyone to meet Maballs)

A New View of the World (Part 1)

I've been thinking about my view of the world lately, and decided I need to change some things around. So this is my progress so far in that endeavor.

The perspective of a WoW toon is pretty different from yours, I'd bet. We've got all sorts of meters to look at.. random buttons.. just floating around, always in view. They're handy though.

The ways in which I've changed my view of the world here isn't all that important. The key thing for this post is just the bottom panel. It's informative and elegant. I've not yet gotten around to changing much above that area, but those changes will be forthcoming.

Going from left to right, there's my chat box. My bound buttons are above with a resource of more buttons below in the next section. Then there's my damage meter, recount. My map. And finally, an informational section that details my zone, coordinates, and time. The arrow in the middle is pointing me to my next objective, but I've been ignoring that for weeks now.

Introductions

At the beginning of any relationship, I think introductions are in order. My name is Ahm. Occasionally, Ahmahunter. Sometimes, Ahmarogue. But for the most part, I'm a paladin. I'll probably have other alter egos in the future, but these keep me busy for now.

I exist in the World of Warcraft. It's a lot like your world, only much, much better. Me and my buddies get to slay monsters, make tons of gold, and fly on the backs of mighty dragons. Well, they look pretty mighty, at least. To be honest, they mostly just fly around. They can't breathe fire or eat gnomes or anything fun like that.

The characters in my world are also quite a bit like the people in yours. In my visit to the city today, a complete stranger just walked right up to me and asked me for some money. I can understand the appeal in such a proposition. After-all, I was atop my mighty stead in the main hall wearing all my shiny epic toys. My armor glistened in the dim light. There was probably a sign on my back asking for someone to come up and lighten my pockets for me. And even if there wasn't, what's the harm in asking, right?

Generally I ignore these toons. I don't like people that just ask for hand-outs. But instead, I decided to have some fun. What's the harm, right?

Stranger: "caan i have some money."
Ahm: "I was just about to ask you for some!"
Stranger: "can i have just a lil money"
Ahm: "I'm broke.. I need 5 copper!"
<The stranger opens a trade window with me and puts up 5 copper but doesn't accept the trade yet>
Stranger: "then i have to get money from you im broke i need 60silver"
Ahm: "sorry I don't have any silver"
<The stranger closes the trade and runs off to his bank>
